NEWS
I went with the title SHADOW OF THE WOLF, but the story fared poorly with beta readers. Good title, good cover, terrible story. So it gets archived. It was fun to write, though. I hope that I’ll be able to fix it up one day.
I finished EIGHTEEN MINUTES. It ended up being TWELVE MINUTES as the story needed to be tighter. It is a dark time in the world when the inspiration for horror stories comes from BBC News.
I’ve been rewriting an old story, I HAVE THE POWER (How many of you remember reading it?). I’ve always loved Ancient Greece and this story is a love letter to the classic movies and TV shows about it from when I grew up. I was inspired by a few people I've met in real life who tried to make up for having neither intellect nor self-control with belligerence. Beta reader feedback so far is positive!
Deak’s smashed out a magnificent free horror short story. THE COMPLAINT which has a brilliant twist.
Ryan wrote a free Christmas flash fiction horror, THE WREATH for NoSleep which was wonderfully dark and gripping.
I am really looking forward to the TALES OF THE MACABRE, VOL. 1 launch party on the 8th!
WHAT AM I WORKING ON NOW?
A novel. I have been predominantly been a short story writer, but in 2017 I wrote NESTOR LYNCH. Now, I am working on the sequel. Nestor was my first major work, and it’s quite the challenge. I did write a sequel two years ago, but it was sadly not in a publishable state. So, I am trying again.
WHAT'S NEXT?
EIGHTEEN MINUTES, a tale of a New Year’s Party, gone horribly wrong.
